A day with Aunty Linda.
We started off the day with breakfast at yakun with jiejie Jocelyn. I haven't seen her since 2009, and she is still as gorgeous as ever.
After we were done, we went over to aunty Linda's house. It's the first time that I'm visiting her new house, and boy it was huge ! So in love with her new place !
So anyways, after admiring her new place, we drove over to AMK hub to pick up aunty Diana. We then went to a nearby hawker to have lunch. We were going to have chicken rice until we saw the ridiculous queue, and we ended up having wanton mee instead. Nothing fantastic, but wasn't bad either.
We then dropped aunty Linda back home and then headed back to ours to pick my grand-mother up as she had wanted to have a new kebaya done. She said she wanted to have a look at joo chiat complex, and so we went. We had no idea how to drive there, so we asked Mr Garmin for help. It was hilarious, because when we got there, he said "You have reached your destination" followed by the postal code, and because there was 3 zeros in the postal code, he had a spasm. We ended up in tears.
There was so many shops there ! Mostly the traditional Malay attire, but we managed to find a shop specializing in kebayas. We spent quite a while in there. My mother ended up buying a ready made kebaya, but it was so beautiful. It had peacock print on it which made it look rather unique. My grand-mother was going to buy a ready made one as well, and then she changed her mind after looking at some materials. She ended up choosing a greenish-yellow material and we have to wait about a month to collect it. Now, she's a happy lady !
After we were done, we went home and chilled for a little while before heading over to meet aunty Linda and aunty Diana again for dinner. For dinner, we went to casuarina curry. We had 2 plates of noodles to share and a prata each. It was rather nice to be honest, love their fish curry !
I had such a great laugh with them. So much until I had a cheek cramp !
