Day 4 - Sapporo.

October 20, 2015

My butt is aching from all that sitting.

Breakfast was at 9am today and it was a really disappointing one. The amount of variation does not bother me, it's how good it is and boy was it bad. They couldn't even make a decent batch of scrambled eggs. Just check out how watery it is.

So our mini road trip started at 10am.

Today started off with lovely blue skies and then it started raining a little bit.

We were very lucky to have caught a rainbow.

So it took us 2 hours to get to ふきだし公園 ( Fukidashi park ). When we arrived, it was drizzling slightly but with a whole load of dark clouds surrounding the area. We decided to go have a quick look at the park and managed to take a few photos before Uncle Pat suggested that we go have lunch and wait the storm out.

So we walked over to the one and only cabin on site where they had a mini supermarket as well as a cafe.

Here's our ramen lunch.

We had to wait till the rain went away and Uncle Pat was right. It did clear up ! Hooray for us.

Here are some of the beautiful photos of the park.

Just take the one below as an example. How beautiful is this view ? Looks exactly like a painting doesn't it ?

Well, enjoy the rest of the photos that I took today

Totally in love with them autumn colors.

So we continued with our road trip for the day and our next destination was 小樽 ( Otaru ).

So we finally made it to 小樽 after a 1 and a half hour drive.

And so, here is the famous Otaru canal.

It's a pity that we didn't come here when it was dark. It would have been nicely lit up !

And after we were done admiring the lovely Otaru, we hit the roads and headed back for 札幌 ( Sapporo ).

It was about 4ish by the time we got back and we all declared it to be coffee time. My mum asked the receptionist if there were any coffee shops nearby, but they said no and directed us to the coffee shop at the lobby.

Had the cutest cup of latte as well as a portion of waffles to share.

And here's a photo of my mum and I.

So my mum & I had some girly time together as Uncle Pat was feeling knackered from all that driving. We walked to the station where there was heaps of underground shopping. I was hoping to get some clothes and hopefully a pair of new shoes. Unfortunately for me, it was all winter clothings. We did however managed to get a few pairs of earrings and some mega cute keychains. Well, I did however get to eat my favorite みたらし団子 ( mitarashi dango ) and boy was it good.

We quickly walked back to the hotel to get Uncle Pat for dinner whilst keeping a lookout on possible restaurants to have dinner.

We settled for the one nearest to our hotel which was just a 5 minute walk away.

I decided to get the yamakake tempura soba.

Well, off to watch some telly now.

Good night from my last night at Sapporo. xxx
