Catching up.
Wow, doesn't it feel like forever since we've all last dined out?
So unless you live in a shell, I'm sure you know by now that you have to be fully vaccinated, yes, that means 2 weeks after your second shot, to be able to dine in at restaurants.
And today's lunch date was Uncle Joon & Aunty Delia, whom we were supposed to meet before the heightened alert but never got round to doing so. We took them to Nanjing impressions, which by the way, left a very first good impression on us. Like, their duck dishes are to die for!
So here's what we had earlier.
That duck xiao long bao is wow, just wow. It is to die for! It was love at first taste and it still is.
After lunch, we went to Typhoon cafe, which was just a walk away. This was also introduced to us by Uncle Andrew.
I was feeling a little bit more adventurous today and went for the lychee mint tea with peach gum. It turned out to be quite pleasant actually.
We were all so full from lunch, so we ended up sharing just 1 plate of dessert between the 4 of us, but you know what? It actually was just nice. And the honey comb pancake soufflé was a great choice as well!
Like, if you're a fan of pancake soufflé then you've got to try the ones here. I think they might just be the best one in town at the moment, in my opinion anyway.
But aside from great food, we definitely enjoyed our catch up! Lots of love to Uncle Joon & Aunty Delia. ❤
