Chocolate chip cookie.
INGREDIENTS.
110g butter
150g castor sugar
40g brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
170g plain flour
340g chocolate chips
½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter, castor sugar and brown sugar until well incorporated.
3. Beat the egg and add to the butter sugar mixture, along with the vanilla extract.
4. Sift in the flour and bicarbonate of soda and fold until you get a wet dough mixture.
5. Add in the chocolate chips and fold until the chocolate chips have been spreaded out.
6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
7. Using a tablespoon, take a little bit of the dough and roll into a ball with you palms.
8. Line them in rows, leaving 2-3cm spacing as they well expand.
9. Bake for about 8-10 minutes.
10. Allow to cool before storing.
