Happy birthday didi !

Today was my good friend, Alastair's birthday and they decided to spend the day with us.

I picked them up at half past 10 at the hotel that they were staying at the night before. I then brought them for a Chinese brunch - red star.

Well, here's what we had.

We then headed back to my place and we played 2 rounds of mahjong. As it was Alastair's birthday, we decided to let him call the shots. We asked him if he would like to do anything and what he wanted for dinner, but all he could say was anything. So we did some thinking and somehow we ended up at Thien kee steamboat at golden mile and along came Fufu as well.

We had quite a bit of food for dinner and here's what we had.

After dinner, we had wanted to cut the cake at the steamboat place. We then asked if we could have a couple of forks and plates and the aunties then told us that each piece would cost $0.30. We found it ridiculous and couldn't accept the fact that we were told to pay seeing as we just spent over a $100 dining there. After discussing, we decided to go over to Alastair's place instead.
