High tea: Masa.

March 18, 2022
I call this, the high tea, without the tea.

So, the high tea set itself was pretty decent if you ask me. The only thing that we didn't really get, was the fact that, if I remember correctly, 2 of the items that came with the set, only had 1 each. I don't get it though. I've had my fair share of high teas now and everything always comes in pairs. I mean like, you wouldn't have high tea by yourself now, would you? Also, one of the item that was served on it's own, was a vanilla ice cream. By the time we sat there, slowly working our way through the high tea whilst chatting, we ended up with an almost warm vanilla drink.

But, the thing that got us the most, was the fact that the high tea sets didn't come with tea. You know high TEA? Like high TEA? I've never had high tea without tea.

That aside, we ordered some tea. So the way they charge for the tea is also weird. 1 of us wanted pu-er and the other 3 chrysanthemum tea. We ended up getting 1 pot for the pu-er and 1 pot for the chrysanthemum tea. But 1 whole entire pot was for one person, and the other pot was shared between three people, which obviously isn't a problem. We only got annoyed because they said they'd add hot water for us, but obviously we're going to empty that pot real quick and just adding hot water continuously would basically mean that we'd end up drinking hot water isn't it? So after trying to reason with them, they finally said that they'd add in more leaves if needed. Doh.

Well, boo boo aside, it does look rather instagrammable worthy!
