Day 1 - Off to Milan.
Day 1 - Travelling and more travelling.
So here's how the journey started.
Aunty Anu came over at about half past 12 to take us to the airport. Arrived at Heathrow about 30 minutes later.
Checked in and then off we went into the departure hall where we had lunch at this restaurant called Giraffe.
Guess which one I had ?
So our flight was 330pm and we pretty much left on time.
We arrived at Malpensa airport at about 630pm. Although the airport wasn't crowded, we had to wait quite a bit for our baggage.
We were then made to walk through half the airport to get to exit 2 where our pre-booked coach into the city was. With all that delay and walking, it was a really good thing that our coach was due to leave at 745pm. Phew.
The coach ride into the city took about 45 minutes. We then took a 10 minute taxi ride to our hotel. So my mum booked us a really nice hotel, NH president hotel, which is just a 5 minute walk to the Duomo.
By the time we were done with checking in and what not, it was 10 pm when we sat down to have dinner at the restaurant downstairs.
I usually have only one meal a day, but during holidays, there are no rules. Despite being really tired out from jet lag and all that travelling, we really enjoyed our dinner. Or should I say supper ?
Well, good night from Milan. xxx
