WCG : Day 1.
What a long day today has been. It's day 1 out of 3 for TGX ( the games xpo ) which is also WCG ( world cyber games ).
Got up at 830am. Got to expo at 1030am and met up with the rest and had breakfast outside the hall. TeamMVP went and registered themselves and guess what ? Their first game didn't start till nearly 2pm when they were told to get their asses down by half past 10. But hey, what's new ey ? I'm sure every single competitive gamer out there has experienced the waiting game.
So moving on swiftly, Elite group which is 1 out of the 4 Malaysia teams, withdrew from WCG, which meant that Group A was only left with 2 matches each instead of the 3, meaning that their group would finish earlier right ? Well, you're wrong. It just meant we had to rot there longer. As I mentioned earlier, their first game took place at nearly 2pm against isle. Oh yes, and I didn't say why the major delay right ? It's all because of the laptop Benny was assigned to, as soon as he clicked on a programme, it would just hang. Awesomeness. Whilst waiting for the next game, we lunched at Burger King. Boy did that mushroom swiss taste great or what ? Haven't had that for a long time. This used to be our ( my mum and I ) favorite.
Match 2 : Rejects.Quantum. This took place roughly 2 hours and abit after their first match. It was pretty exciting seeing as this was a stage match. You could hear all the supporters cheering and clapping. (‐^▽^‐)
If you thought that this was the end of day 1, guess again. We ended up walking around, sitting down and oh yes, not to forget, the chain smoking. We just wasted about and estimated 4 hours of our lives because they wanted to push the quarter-finals for the same day. The draws were done and everyone was good to go. TeamMVP.G1 played against Rebel and TeamMVP.Krome played against XaL. The last match didn't finish till almost half past 11, which means that we only got home at nearly 1. One word : KNACKERED.
Well, I'd say today went pretty well as they won all their matches and I also bumped into many friends whom I haven't seen in ages.
