Yay, 21 again.
So, it's my birthday and the best way to celebrate it ? With the family.
All these years, I have wanted to try Yakiniku Ao-chan, but just never got the chance to, and by hook and by crook, I was going to go today !
And boy was it awesome.
After lunch, we rushed over to Mount Elizabeth for an appointment we made earlier this morning. My granny suddenly decided to bomb us with the news of having floaters in her vision, which she actually have been experiencing for the past week already. Luckily, she informed us today, otherwise, we'd probably have to wait till the new year has passed before we'd be able to see anyone.
On panic mode, we actually rang the eye specialist that we usually go to at Paragon, but was told that he had gone on holiday and would only be back 2 weeks after. We then called our uncle, who is a cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth to see if he had any friends to recommend, and that is how we managed to get an appointment, which we are so grateful for.
So yes, we spent half the day at the clinic whilst waiting for her tests to be done, but hey, my granny is my number one, she's my priority. Every other can be my birthday, I only have one grand-mother.
Well, at the end of it all, I'm just grateful that it's nothing serious. Apart from the floaters being annoying, her retina is still attached and as long as she's careful, she'll be alright. Praise the Lord, as my granny would say.
After we were done at the clinic, we went to my favorite Hoshino coffee to have desserts. I don't usually drink coffee after 4pm, well 3pm if I want to sleep at night, but today is an exception.
And that's how I spent my birthday.
