Happy winter solstice.

Every year, without fail, my granny would ask me if I wanted to have some white and pink mochi balls on winter solstice day, and I would always say yes. Not quite sure why she feels the need to ask the same question every single year, when I have never once turned her down, but yes, I am always grateful.

Instead of having it with the clear white sugar soup, I like mine with the coconut cream and gula melaka, like how I have been having it since I was young.
