元宵节.

Today is the last day of Chinese new year. It usually ends on the 15th day of the lunar month and the Chinese basically call it yuan xiao jie. 

We're not Chinese, but we basically have a family tradition where my granny would cook on this day. I'm pretty sure growing up I've had a variety of dishes over the years, but somehow, the years leading up to now, it became the same few dishes - Ayam buah keluak, stir fried spinach with abalone and pig stomach with ginko nut soup. 

It's not like I'm complaining though. I actually look forward to it! It's become like a once a year exclusive!
