Taiwan 2017 - Day 5.

April 21, 2017

Sadly, day 5 marks our last day in Taiwan as we'll be heading back to Singapore later on in the evening.

Why does time always pass by so quickly when you're having fun ?

Well, fortunately for us, 十三 didn't have any other bookings and was free to take us around before our flight home.

So we had our breakfast this morning and then went back up to get our bags before checking out at 1030am.

Our first stop of the day was Ruyi. We mentioned to 十三 that we needed to get some snacks for friends and family back home. The more popular one that I know of is Chia Te. I have never heard of Ruyi before until today but thanks to 十三, we have found a new gem.

So Ruyi has 2 branches, one in Taipei and the other in Taichung. Their service is absolutely amazing. They sit you down, serve you tea and then serve you samples of almost everything in their menu. I think that it's good that you get to try it and if you like it, you can buy it. Only thing was, we just had our breakfast so even though they were just samples, they were a little overwhelming.

After about 30 minutes of trying out all the different samples, we each decided what we were going to get and guess what ? We spent a whopping total of 7000ntd. But you know what ? It was seriously good.

They actually offered to pack it into a carton for us so that we could just check it in but here's the thing. I think that it's going to count as an extra baggage and I so didn't want to pay for it so we decided to stuff everything into our baggage instead and luckily for us, we managed to pack them all. Phew !

Seeing as our flight will be departing from Taoyuan airport, 十三 took us nearby. When I say nearby, it's still an hour away from the airport. I never knew Taoyuan was so big.

So our next destination of the day was dahan river. It had this big spectacular bridge, but no, we only walked halfway and took photos of it and with it.

Our next stop was shihmen dam. Now this place is huge and it's really beautiful as well.

We were somewhere in the mountain and we were hungry. For some awkward reason, a lot of the stalls were closed today so 十三 just continued driving until we came across an open stall. We finally saw this stretch that was open and even though it was a random stall that he chose, I must say that the food was delish.

That was a great last meal in Taiwan if you ask me.

With our tummies filled up, we headed to some waterfall in Taoyuan. I have no idea where we went but it was beautiful.

And the final destination for the day was Taoyuan airport. On our way to the airport, it started raining heavily and there was a massive jam as well. I actually fell asleep and by the time I woke up, we were at the airport and we made it in time as well.

We're just about to board the plane now, so with a heavy heart, I bid farewell to you Taiwan. Till we meet again.

See you in about 5 hours Singapore.

いろいろありがとうございました十三さん!またね~
